The NFL?s new regular season opens on September 5 in New York.? The next day the league and the NFLPA will be fighting over an old wound in Minnesota.

In advance of the September 6 hearing regarding the union?s effort to reopen the settlement agreement that ended the 2011 lockout and the litigation that went along with it, the NFL has filed a brief opposing the notion that the league had a ?secret salary cap? in the supposedly uncapped year of 2010.

The 22-page document, a copy of which PFT has obtained, makes the point that we made when the NFLPA filed the collusion claim earlier this year:? The players are trying to advance legal theories that the players expressly and affirmatively waived when the lockout ended.

The NFL focuses primarily on the settlement of a pair of antitrust lawsuits (one filed by Reggie White and other in the 1990s and one by Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and others in 2011) as the ?end of one historic era . . . and the beginning of another.?? The league also argues that the players ?agreed ? not once, but twice ? to put an end to all claims of any kind? arising under the lawsuits that were pending at the time the collusion allegedly occurred.

The league further explains that, even if the claims hadn?t been waived, the NFLPA waited too long to assert them, pointing to the deadline for filing the claims ? 90 days after the NFLPA ?should reasonably have discovered? the violation.? The league believes that the NFLPA should have known enough in 2010 to assert that collusion was occurring.? (Of course, if the NFLPA had done so at the time, the NFL would have called the claim frivolous, or worse.)

As we?ve explained in the past, the settlement of any lawsuit usually includes a broad waiver of any claims that were made or that could have been made.? The parties are resolving all of their differences and moving forward with a clean slate.? Here, a claim that the NFL wasn?t treating the uncapped year as an uncapped year could have been made, and arguably should have been made, in 2010.? By striking a comprehensive settlement agreement in 2011, the claim for collusion that allegedly happened in 2010 necessarily was forever waived.

Of course, that result hinges now on Judge David Doty agreeing that the paperwork contains the right language to slam shut the door to his courtroom.? If Judge Doty finds that the NFL?s lawyers ultimately failed to concoct a big-word salad that properly waived the collusion claim (and if the ruling survives the appeal process), the NFL?s lawyers who were responsible for this won?t be the NFL?s lawyers for very much longer.

All that said, the NFL still has a problem.? Like Judge Berrigan in the bounty cases, who has publicly criticized the fairness (or lack thereof) of the league?s discipline process against players like Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, Judge David Doty could say at the hearing, ?The NFL engaged in collusion in 2010, and if there?s any way I can legally hold them liable, I will.?

The arguments made by the NFL in its written submission should prevent a bad outcome.? But it won?t prevent the bad P.R. that would come from a public declaration by a federal judge that the NFL (as it appears, and as we?ve reported) told the teams not to take full advantage of the uncapped nature of the uncapped year.? Even if the NFL manages to avoid liability for collusion, all sorts of bad things can happen when a federal judge concludes that a billion-dollar business has engaged in illegal labor practices of a fairly significant nature, especially in light of the fact that there are always a handful of folks in Congress who would be inclined to call a hearing on a high-profile topic like this.

Even though the NFLPA claims the players didn?t realize collusion had occurred until after the Cowboys and Redskins challenged the decision to strip salary cap space from the two teams in 2012 due to their failure to abide by the unwritten cap rules in 2010, the NFLPA at least should have known in 2010 that collusion possibly was happening ? and the NFLPA definitely should have known when asked to sign off on the cap penalties that something was fishy.

Instead, the NFLPA gladly agreed to the cap penalties, because the NFLPA at that time desperately needed the NFL to agree to tinker with the salary cap in order to ensure that the team-by-team spending limit would climb, not drop, from 2011 to 2012.? (That fact alone should may any judge, no matter how potentially biased or partial, find in favor of the NFL.)

No matter how this one turns out, someone is going to look bad.? The NFL?s lawyers will look bad for not properly sealing off the players? ability to claim collusion after the fact, or the NFLPA?s lawyers will look bad for not filing a collusion claim in 2010 ? and for agreeing to the cap penalties in 2012, if Judge Doty points that out in a way that prompts enough players to ask the NFLPA tough, direct questions about that strategy and the underlying reasons for it.

Either way, Judge Doty likely will be generating sound bites that will reflect poorly on the NFL regarding the issue of collusion in the uncapped year ? and that will set the stage for even more acrimony the next time the CBA moves closer to its expiration date.

I have successfully built an API that will work with Ipad/ Iphone and will be able to port it to Android. This app can create missions, follow live mavlink .9 (Still working on 1.0) data with telemetry data. Cool thing is that it is a cheap cable to make. I want to know how many people would be interested in this App and the cable. There will be two versions one for jail broke devices that will have a few extras and for regular IOS and Droid OS. If there enough buzz I will give a lucky few in couple weeks a free beta pass through iTunes to be able to test and use for flight. What the app does is that it send a mavlink message to the xbee or 3d radio back and forth so you be able to fly and track using your tablet or phone.

Jet-skier breaches $100 million JFK security system

In an embarrassing incident for New York's John F. Kennedy airport, a lost jet-skier managed to walk undetected across airport property and runways. NBC's Tom Costello reports.

A jet-skier who became stranded in Jamaica Bay easily breached the security system at John F. Kennedy International Airport by walking undetected through two runways and into a terminal. ??? ?

Daniel Castillo of Queens swam to shore and then walked past motion sensors and closed-circuit cameras of the airport's state-of-the art Perimeter Intrusion Detection System.

Castillo climbed an eight-foot-tall perimeter fence and made his way to Terminal 3, according to The New York Post. He approached a Delta Air Lines worker, who alerted authorities, the paper said. ???

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is investigating. The agency says it has increased patrols on the ground and in the water and plans to meet with the security system's maker this week. ??? ?

"We have called for an expedited review of the incident and a complete investigation to determine how Raytheon's perimeter intrusion detection system -- which exceeds federal requirements -- could be improved," the Port Authority said in a statement. "Our goal is to keep the region's airports safe and secure at all times."

Castillo was charged with criminal trespass. Information on whether he had an attorney wasn't available. ???

Using both article marketing and pay-per-click marketing among the many forms of advertising for their online businesses is common-place for the majority of experienced internet marketers.

As a beginner choosing between article marketing and pay-per-click (PPC), the benefits of article marketing far outweigh the risks involved in PPC marketing for your online business.

These are some of the differences between these two forms of advertising that can help you decide which will be of greater benefit for your business.

One very big advantage that article marketing has over pay per click, especially for a beginner is that even at the lowest level you can still benefit a start getting traffic even if it is only a little bit each month. Getting a trickle of leads at no cost definitely beats the risk of spending hundreds of dollars experimenting and getting no results from a PPC campaign.

Even if you write and publish an article that is a complete flop and attract no traffic, all you will have lost is possibly and hour or two of your time. Especially if you published it manually on some free article directories, you will not have wasted any money and there is still the benefit of having built a few back-links to your website.

In comparison, if you set up a PPC campaign that bombed, you would find yourself several hundred dollars out of pocket with nothing at all to show for your work. Therefore the risk involved in article marketing is considerably less than that in pay per click marketing.

One of the best benefits of article marketing is that once you have published an article on a few article directories you can pretty much just forget about it and let it do its own work. It makes no difference whether you have just a few articles or thousands of articles published, you never need to do anything with these articles again, they will still continue to bring targeted traffic to your website on a regular basis.

If you compare this with pay per click marketing, although it will bring traffic to your online income business much more quickly, you will need to keep monitoring and tracking each campaign and it will only work as long as you are paying for the advertising. Any paid advertising such as pay per click will stop the minute you stop paying for it.

Pay per click is usually a faster and more efficient method of getting targeted traffic to your website but this can quickly be balanced out by being prolific and diligent in publishing article and here are a few points to prove this to you. For example let?s assume that you are getting 1000 click throughs a week for your various pay per click campaigns and your bill is about $50 a week.

For the purpose of this exercise let us say that you get approximately 5 click throughs a week from each article that you have published on any one of the article directories you use. In order to obtain the same number of clicks from your articles as you get from your PPC campaign you would need to have published 200 articles. (200 x 5 clicks per week = 1,000 leads)

So now you need to ask yourself how long it would take for you to publish 200 articles?

Just choose five of the leading article directories to publish your articles on and then publish each of the articles that you write on all five directories. You only have to write 40 articles to get to your target of 200.

So if you can be consistent and write just four articles a week, within ten weeks of your article marketing campaign you will have 200 articles generating quality targeted traffic to your website and if you seriously want to build a successful online income business without spending a great deal of money on advertising, this method will bring you traffic on a regular basis for many years to come.

LONDON (AP) ? British rock stars are seizing the stage to close the Olympics with an extravaganza that promises to keep a worldwide audience entertained well into the night ? and dancing all the way to Rio.

The Who, the surviving members of Queen and the Spice Girls were expected to headline a fun and frivolous closing ceremony, celebrating the remarkable crop of pop icons the host country has given the world for decades.

The show, which organizers estimated was being broadcast to more than 300 million people, opened with a segment showcasing a day in the life of the British capital, and an actor playing Winston Churchill, quoting Shakespeare from atop a mock Big Ben.

Prince William's wife, Kate, and Prince Harry took seats next to Jacques Rogge, the president of the International Olympic Committee. They sang along to "God Save the Queen."

Artistic director Kim Gavin promised "the best after-show party that's ever been," and as details of the lineup leaked in the British press days ahead of time, there was no reason to doubt him.

The ceremony had something for everyone, from tween girls to 1960s hippies. George Michael, Muse, Fatboy Slim and the One Direction, the British cotton-candy boy band of the moment, were all expected to perform.

The best seats were for the 10,800 Olympic athletes, set to march in as one and form what Gavin has described as a human mosh pit on the field. Queen Elizabeth II, who made a memorable mock parachute entrance at the opening ceremony, will be on hand.

Eight minutes have been turned over to Brazil, host of the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, which promises an explosion of samba, sequins and Latin cool. Following tradition, the mayor of London will hand the Olympic flag off to his Rio counterpart.

There will also be speeches by Rogge and London organizing committee chief Sebastian Coe, and the extinguishing of the Olympic flame.

What a way to end a games far more successful than many Londoners expected. Security woes were overcome, and traffic nightmares never materialized. The weather held up, more or less, and Britain had its biggest medal haul since 1908.

The United States edged China in both the gold medal and total medal standings, recapturing the gold-medal title it lost four years ago, but Britain will finish third in golds.

And while the games may have lacked some of the drama and grandeur of the Beijing Olympics in 2008, there were some unforgettable moments.

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt became an Olympic legend by repeating as champion in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints. Michael Phelps ended his long career as the most decorated Olympian in history.

British distance runner Mo Farah became a national treasure by sweeping the 5,000- and 10,000-meter races, and favorite daughter Jessica Ennis became a global phenomenon with her victory in the heptathlon.

Female athletes took center stage in a way they never had before. American gymnast Gabby Douglas soared to gold, the U.S. soccer team made a dramatic march to the championship. Packed houses that turned out to watch the new event of women's boxing. And women competed for Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei took part for the first time.

And then there was Oscar Pistorious, the double-amputee from South Africa running on carbon-fiber blades, who didn't win a medal but nonetheless left a champion. And sprinter Manteo Mitchell, who completed his leg of the 4x400 relay semifinal on a broken leg, allowing his team to qualify and win silver.

All of it took place in the coming-of-age of the Twitter-era, with athletes posting their every thought, from drunken celebrations to royal crushes to frowned-upon shout-outs to sponsors.

"It was a dream for a sports-lover like me," Rogge said of the two weeks of competition.

Coe refused to anoint the games "the best ever," in the phrase former IOC chief Juan Antonio Samaranch used to describe almost every games. But he declared himself "very, very pleased."

He said the closing ceremony didn't aim to be profound, not even the irreverent romp through British history offered by Danny Boyle's $42 million spectacle on opening night.

The theme for the close, Coe said, could be summed up in three words. "Party. Party. Party."

In a switch from opening night and what appeared to be a concession to its vocal critics, NBC decided to stream the ceremony live online, in addition to broadcasting it during prime time.

London organizers tried to keep the ceremony under wraps, but photographs opf their rehearsals, in an old car plant in east London, made the British papers almost daily.

The show will include performances of 30 British hit singles from the past five decades ? whittled by Gavin from a list of 1,000 songs.

Gavin said Saturday the show would open with a tribute to the "cacophony" of London life, with a soundtrack ranging from late Edward Elgar, composer of the "Pomp and Circumstance" march, to The Kinks' "Waterloo Sunset." Frontman Ray Davies is expected to perform the 1960s song, a love letter to London.

While creators of the opening ceremony could rehearse for weeks inside the stadium, Gavin and his team had less than a day between the end of track and field competition and Sunday's ceremony. Not a lot of time to practice a show with multiple sets, pyrotechnics and 3,500 volunteer performers.

Some athletes who skipped the opening ceremony in order to rest for upcoming competitions said they wouldn't miss the closing extravaganza for the world.

"I am so excited," said American teen sensation Missy Franklin, who took home five swimming medals, including four golds. "I think it is the perfect way to end the entire journey."

Added Brenda Villa, a member of the gold-winning U.S. water polo team: "We just want to have fun and kind of put an end to this magical tournament."

Ben Henderson Retains Belt in Controversial Split Decision: The UFC 150 Main Card Rundown

When they first met, they went the distance and the judges gave it to Benson Henderson.? But this time, when former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar and reigning champ Henderson scrapped, it seemed just a little more clear-cut, and it appeared as if "The Answer" had done enough in their five-rounds of hard-fought conflict to reclaim that precious belt that was once his.? But the judges ? in their infinite wisdom, or lack thereof ? disagreed.? That's the story of UFC 150 main event.? More after the jump.

• The youngest man on the UFC's roster also just happens to possess a wicked body shot, as TUF veteran Justin Lawrence found out much to his dismay.? In the bout between 20-year-old striker Max Holloway and 22-year-old striker Lawrence, there was zero grappling on the ground and tons of lightning-quick exchanges on the feet, with both fighters dinging each other up throughout all of the first and most of the second round.? But Holloway was relentless in his pressure, and when he softened Lawrence up with a knee to the body, then followed it up with a pair of hooks to the ribs, Lawrence folded in pain against the cage.? The ensuing storm of punches had referee Josh Rosenthal stepping in and making the TKO official at 4:49 of Round Two.

• Buddy Roberts established early on that standing and trading with him would be a very dangerous prospect ? established with hard jabs, crosses and kicks that clearly hurt ? so former middleweight contender Yushin Okami made every effort to make this match a ground war.? And he was successful, pulling Roberts down and punishing him with punches from back-mount at the end of the first round, and doing the same early on in the second.? The American had no answer for the predicament Okami put him in, and the referee was forced to end it at 3:05 of the round, giving the Japanese fighter the win via TKO.

• For some odd reason, Ed Herman felt that his best chance at beating Jake Shields was to pretend the walls of the Octagon were a giant cheese grater and the former Strikeforce champ was a piece of cheese.? That was the uneventful story of Round One, and Shields avoided being the cheese in Round Two by taking the TUF runner-up down and trying to methodically jiu-jitsu him to death.? The third round was pretty much the same as the second, and though it was the farthest thing from an exciting, crowd-pleasing battle, for Shields, it got the job done.? He took the unanimous decision (29-29, 30-27, 30-27) when time ran out.

• It was quick, but damn was it fun.? In the lightweight co-main event between former teammates Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard, Cerrone came out full of confidence and walked into a left hook that had him stumbling and in grave danger of going to sleep.? But even though Guillard pursued him and tried to land the coup de grace, Cerrone recovered ? at least, well enough to clip the "Young Assassin" with a high-kick and finish him with a devastating right.? Guillard was out cold at 1:16 of the first round, and while it lasted, this one was a thriller.

• Whenever Henderson and Edgar fight, they're destined to go five rounds.? No if's, and's or but's about it.? That's simply what they'll do.? Round One saw the former champ eating low-kicks to the calf that had him stumbling and falling, and though he scored a takedown in the late seconds of the frame, Edgar was caught in a tight guillotine.? He survived, and in Round Two, he dropped Henderson with a right and threatened with a guillotine of his own while sprawling away from the champ's takedown attempt.? With Henderson and Edgar picking and choosing their shots and neither really hurting the other, the third was extremely tough to score, but "The Answer" made it a little easier in the fourth by landing a takedown.? If we've learned anything from watching these two fight for so many rounds, it's that they'll never make it easy for the judges, and Round Five was true to form, as both pecked at each other and neither took the definitive lead.? However, when it came to scoring, his unerring right hand seemed to be at least racking up points, it did seem like Edgar took the round? The end result?? A split decision (46-49, 48-47, 48-47) in favor of Henderson, who retained his belt but was showered by boos from a crowd that thought Edgar had deserved the "W".

I had to post about this again. I making money online doing the following:

• Affiliate Marketing ?(heavily)
• Product Creation (not as much)
• CPA (just started)
• Blogging (used to have more content)
• Web Hosting (just launched a web hosting company)
• Graphics Design and Web Design
• Niche Websites (Google Ads and other ads)
• SO MUCH MORE!

I do many things and I am good at all of them besides CPA which I am just starting out on. It has a nice learning curve. I have never done CPA before so it is turning out to be a great experience.

Anyway to get to the point of this blog post I wanted to tell you that it takes time and you MUST?I REPEAT?MUST do one thing at a time or you will bombard yourself with so much work and frustration. People are doing too much. YES! I do a lot of different things but I have been doing this much longer than some of you. I know how to better manage my time and I mostly outsource the things I want to do besides affiliate marketing. I send all my emails and post all of my own blog posts here on this blog. For my niche sites I have a writer and I pay her to write the posts for each niche blog I own.

Most of the things I do are outsourced leaving me with time to build my business by building my connections, networking and many other important things like posting in this blog.

I have to say this?.spend the time you have on one project at a time. Build that up then start a second or third project. Get yourself profitable and get shit done or you will not be successful in this business. You will never make a damn dime online. I see it all too often. I see too many people trying so many different things they cannot ever focus on making money because none of the projects are being complete or built with QUALITY!

Quality folks! that is what you want to make money. You have to create each launch with quality. You have to make each site look good. You have to have everything in order so that you can focus on making money. When you get profitable in one business then start another project. I like to launch?.build up?.hire out everything?then build another project.

It just has to be like that. If you cannot make money online then try and look back?think to yourself??was this me?? It most likely was. You are doing too much?slow down.

This blog post came to me because someone I have been helping has been doing this. He is making money just not yet enough to be profitable. He starts a project and sets it and forgets it and on to another. That is not at all cool. Do one thing at a time.

This post is like a rant. I want people to understand that to make money online you have to focus on one thing at a time. You cannot be here there and everywhere doing this that and all that. It just don?t work that way. You can eventually build yourself to that point but take it slow and focus?on?1?project at a time.
