Origin PC joins the 11-inch, rebadged gaming laptop party, outs the EON 11-S
Last week may have drawn to a close, but the march of Clevo news continues. On the heels of Maingear announcing an 11-inch gaming notebook, Origin PC is throwing its own ultraportable into the ring: the EON 11-S. Though this is a new model for the company (the smallest laptop it's ever sold, in fact), it's not quite fresh to us: this is the same exact Clevo-made notebook Maingear unveiled two days ago, only re-badged under Origin PC's brand and available in a wider range of colors. As far as performance goes, then, that means you can expect Ivy Bridge processors, a 2GB NVIDIA GT 650M GPU, Optimus graphics-switching technology and a battery rated for 6.5 hours of runtime. In Origin PC's case, the laptop starts at $999 (compared with $1,099 for Maingear), though you'll have to head over to Origin's site for a breakdown of what specs you'll be getting at that lower price. (Spoiler alert: adding an Ivy Bridge CPU instantly bumps the price to $1,294.)

Use Internet Marketing To Help Your Business Earnings Soar - JION ...
If you are in the process of creating a business, it can be very beneficial to consider how the use of web marketing may help you. It?s highly likely that you can interact each day with a phenomenal number of individuals on the internet. There isn?t any way you can reach this number of folks with offline marketing techniques. You could reach people everywhere when you advertise on the web. You could see why this type of advertising would be better than any other form of advertising.
If you think about how expensive it can be to rent a billboard or hire telemarketers, web marketing really doesn?t cost a lot. Some web marketing methods are pricey but because many methods are actually pretty low-cost, this type of advertising is preferred by many. Generally, a typical business doesn?t have the funding for banner advertising on a top website, but many inexpensive choices are also available. One of the most favored forms of online marketing is pay-per-click-marketing through the search engines. Internet marketing works very fast and can be really effective, thus giving it an edge over other methods of marketing. End Your Tinnitus review
When you use the usual advertising methods, there?s a significant amount of lead time needed, while online you can get things moving in no time at all. It?s going to take days to get an advert in the papers, but almost immediately with an ad online. If you only look at how quick and inexpensively you can advertise with web marketing, you aren?t be saying much; the fact that it works extremely well is what makes it the best choice. Today, people generally feel confident about the legitimacy of online ads and, therefore, you have the opportunity to develop a huge database of buyers. You are wanting to connect with the most people you?re able to who are part of your target audience. You?re making use of the power of internet marketing to contact people who want the products and services you are selling. Avanti WD361 review
Through email marketing, you can contact lots of individuals anytime you want. Although you will get the best results when you send email to a list you personally created, you also have the option of paying for or renting lists. These might not work for you. When you first start marketing on the web, it is recommended by knowledgeable marketers that you promptly begin setting up an email list of your own. In order to reach a wider audience, a fantastic tool to have is your own web site. It?s crucial that you have great design and search engine optimization integration so that folks can find it on the net. Try not to overuse keywords in order to stop the search engines from banning you because of spamming. Clickertraining
Using internet marketing for site advertising can be incredibly helpful. You?ll find an abundance of ways to interact with your prospective customers around the world. It may take you a while to learn everything about online marketing, but if you have a business you want to make profitable, it is the way to go.

Gatekeeper of brain steroid signals boosts emotional resilience to stress

PHILADELPHIA - A cellular protein called HDAC6, newly characterized as a gatekeeper of steroid biology in the brain, may provide a novel target for treating and preventing stress-linked disorders, such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), according to research from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Glucocorticoids are natural steroids secreted by the body during stress. A small amount of these hormones helps with normal brain function, but their excess is a precipitating factor for stress-related disorders.
Glucocorticoids exert their effects on mood by acting on receptors in the nucleus of emotionregulating neurons, such as those producing the neurotransmitter serotonin. For years, researchers have searched for ways to prevent deleterious effects of stress by blocking glucocorticoids in neurons. However, this has proved difficult to do without simultaneously interfering with other functions of these hormones, such as the regulation of immune function and energy metabolism.
In a recent Journal of Neuroscience paper, the lab of Olivier Berton, PhD, assistant professor of Psychiatry, shows how a regulator of glucocorticoid receptors may provide a path towards resilience to stress by modulating glucocorticoid signaling in the brain. The protein HDAC6, which is particularly enriched in serotonin pathways, as well as in other mood-regulatory regions in both mice and humans, is ideally distributed in the brain to mediate the effect of glucocorticoids on mood and emotions. HDAC6 likely does this by controlling the interactions between glucocorticoid receptors and hormones in these serotonin circuits.
Experiments that first alerted Berton and colleagues to a peculiar role of HDAC6 in stress adaptation came from an approach that reproduces certain clinical features of traumatic stress and depression in mice. The animals are exposed to brief bouts of aggression from trained "bully" mice. In most aggression-exposed mice this experience leads to the development of a lasting form of social aversion that can be treated by chronic administration of antidepressants.
In contrast, a portion of mice exposed to chronic aggression consistently express spontaneous resilience to the stress and do not develop any symptoms. By comparing gene expression in the brains of spontaneously resilient and vulnerable mice, Berton and colleagues discovered that reducing HDAC6 expression is a hallmark of naturally resilient animals. While aggression also caused severe changes in the shape of serotonin neurons and their capacity to transmit electrical signals in vulnerable mice, stress-resilient mice, in contrast, escaped most of these neurobiological changes.
To better understand the link between HDAC6 and the development of stress resilience, Berton and colleagues devised a genetic approach to directly manipulate HDAC6 levels in neurons: Deletion of HDAC6 in serotonin neurons -- the densest HDAC6-expressing cell group in the mouse brain -- dramatically reduced social and anxiety symptoms in mice exposed to bullies and also fully prevented neurobiological changes due to stress, fully mimicking a resilient phenotype.
Using biochemical assays, Berton's team showed it is by promoting reversible chemical changes onto a heat shock chaperone protein, Hsp90, that HDAC6 deletion is able to literally switch off the effects of glucocorticoid hormones on social and anxiety behaviors.
Chaperones are proteins that help with the folding or unfolding and the assembly or disassembly of protein complexes. The way in which glucocorticoid receptor chaperoning and stress are linked is not well understood. Yet, genetic variations in certain components of the glucocorticoid receptor chaperone complex have been associated with the development of stress-related disorders and individual variability in therapeutic responses to antidepressants.
"We provide pharmacological and genetic evidence indicating that HDAC6 controls certain aspects of Hsp90 structure and function in the brain, and thereby modulates protein interactions, as well as hormone- and stress-induced glucocorticoid receptor signaling and behavior," explains Berton.
Together, these results identify HDAC6 as a possible stress vulnerability biomarker and point to pharmacological inhibition of HDAC6 as a potential new strategy for antidepressant interventions through regulation of Hsp90 in glucocorticoid signaling in serotonin neurons.

Fenway Park: Living link to baseball's past turns 100
Fenway Park has survived because it is beloved by Boston's fans and because the team owners had a vision for making improvements that have allowed the park to keep functioning, flaws and all.
Fenway Park isn't just the storied home of the Boston Red Sox. It's also a venue, perhaps more than any other ballpark now in use, that links the nation to baseball's history.
Skip to next paragraphSure, the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., serves as a kind of pantheon of the sport's legend and lore.
But Fenway Park ? which celebrates its first 100 years Friday ? is the sport's living shrine.
It's not that Fenway can claim to be what Wimbledon is to tennis ? the perennial home of epic events in the sport. But as the oldest major-league ball field still in use, it offers the nearest connection that today's fans can find to an earlier era when every game was played in daylight, when the telegraph defined high-tech communication, and when starting pitchers routinely pitched a full nine innings.
And it's not just that the park is old. It's also distinctive, known most of all for that giant "Green Monster" wall that dwarfs those who play left field. It's also home to a team that has captured an outsize share of affection in the hearts of fans beyond Boston.
The Sox have a story woven with themes that resonate widely for the sport's fans: hope (think Carlton Fisk's 12th-inning home run in the 1975 World Series), heartbreak (recall all those decades of championship drought) and flamboyant characters (Babe Ruth, Luis Tiant, and Jonathan Papelbon, to name a few).
So, even though most other historic ballparks were torn down long ago, Fenway has survived.
It's survived because the park is beloved by Boston's passionate fans and because the current team owners had a vision for making improvements that have allowed the park to keep functioning, flaws and all.
The celebrations Friday coincide with a game between the Sox and the New York Yankees, longtime archrivals in the American League's eastern division.
It was the sale of Sox star Ruth to the Yankees, in 1920, that prompted the long-running talk of a "curse" on Boston. The Yanks began their chain of World Series wins under Ruth, and the stadium where they played for decades was deservedly known as the "House That Ruth Built."
But that "house" in New York City is now gone. Fenway Park lives on.
The other classic major-league ballpark still in use is Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, which opened in 1914. Wrigley can tell its own tales of hope, loss, and devoted fans. But those stories don't tend to have the intensity that Boston has provided over the years with its down-to-the-wire pennant races and recent World Series wins.
So, in a tribute to Fenway's 100th anniversary, here are some highlights of the Sox and their ballpark:
? Fenway Park's first game actually came on April 9, 1912, but it was an exhibition between the Red Sox and Harvard College. Eleven days later came the major-league opener against the New York Highlanders (now known as, yes, the Yankees). In a foretaste of thrills to come, the Sox won that game 7-6 in 11 innings.
? John F. Kennedy's grandfather, Boston Mayor John Fitzgerald, threw the ceremonial first pitch on April 20, 1912.
? In 1912, the Sox won 105 regular season games, the American League pennant, and the World Series. The team's other World Series titles while residing at Fenway came in 1915, 1916, 1918, 2004, and 2007.
? Along with the Green Monster wall, notable features of the park include "the triangle" (an angular oddity in center field where balls can ricochet) and foul poles named after Sox greats Johnny Pesky (the right-field pole) and Fisk (the left-field pole).
? Despite the long drought in World Series wins, the Sox story between 1918 and 2004 was far from dull. It included trips to the World Series in 1946, 1967, 1975, and 1986. The championship aspirations were spoiled by the St. Louis Cardinals (with a "mad dash" by Enos Slaughter coming home from first base), the Cardinals again (led by the overpowering arm of Bob Gibson), the Cincinnati Reds' "Big Red Machine," and the New York Mets (after a ground ball infamously slipped past Sox first baseman Bill Buckner to force a Game 7). Some of those moments occurred outside Fenway Park, but others, like Fisk's home run, are forever etched in the memories of Boston fans.
? In October 1978, Bucky Dent shocked Boston by hitting a home run over the Green Monster, allowing the Yankees to edge out the Sox in a crucial division playoff game at the end of the season.
?
? A turnabout moment came in 2004, when the Sox and Yanks faced each other in the American League Championship Series. The Sox appeared poised to lose in four straight games, when Kevin Millar drew a bottom-of-the-ninth walk, pinch runner Dave Roberts stole second base, and Bill Mueller drove him home with a single. The Sox went on to win the ALCS and then took their first World Series in 86 years.
? As befits its place in the sport's lore, Fenway served as a mecca for Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones in the baseball film "Field of Dreams."
? The park very nearly didn't survive. For years, team owners and local politicians grappled with questions about the field's future. Boston Globe sportswriter Bob Ryan, commenting on TV before the celebration, said the team might easily be playing now in a "theme park" field modeled on Fenway, but thanks to a few fateful decisions, "we have the real thing."
? As old as Fenway is, not all Boston's great baseball moments came with that as the home field. Pitcher Cy Young threw the first pitch at Huntington Avenue Baseball Grounds in the modern World Series in 1903 while leading the Boston Americans to a championship. The Americans became the Red Sox in 1908.
The celebration Tuesday brought a legion of former Sox players onto the field before cheering Boston fans. Among them were Jim Rice, Dwight Evans, Jim Lonborg, Pedro Martinez, Nomar Garciaparra, Dennis Eckersley, Buckner, Tiant, and Fisk. And the man who led the team back to national prominence starting in the 1960s: Carl Yastrzemski.
Then, with the former greats congregating on the field, composer John Williams unleashed a "Fanfare for Fenway."
Where once Bostonians talked of a "curse," on this day it may feel more accurate to borrow a line from Shakespeare and call Fenway a "blessed plot" of turf, brick, and bleachers that could thrive for years to come.

Nokia releases a commercial shot entirely with the 808 PureView (video)
Nokia's released a new commercial that it says is shot entirely using an 808 PureView. Whilst it's clear the company's hired a coterie of models, professional photographers and a world-class lighting rig, it's still a great indication of what the technology can do in the right hands. Head on past the break to see the results for yourself and then catch yourself seriously weighing up buying a Symbian phone for your next handset, just like we are.

Financial help please | Personal Loan
I recently started a new job and will be making decent money so I am thinking of buying a home because i hate paying rent. The problem is I have already accumulated 25000 worth of debt due to credit cards and student loans. Ideally I would like to get enough money for a home loan to pay for the house and my debt. I was also considering going ahead and applying for a personal loan to at least partially pay on the 25000 to try and start reducing how much I pay in interest in case i dont get a home soon. I will also be recieving 12000 in a couple months as a gift and i need to know the best way to use this money.
Thanks ahead of time for any input.

Your home buying will not get far with the cc debt. You need to be debt free except maybe the student loans AND have a down payment AND have a backup house fixing up fund. You cannot borrow over the value of the house to pay off your other debt. Will never happen. Also do not think you can get a personal loan given your debt and lack of job history at least on your new job the bank wants to know you will be keeping it in the future. Depending on the factors in your life you might want to apply a large amount 8 9 of that 12000 to the credit card debt with the highest interest rate.

Im actually interesting in Direct MerchandisingDistributor but I want a mentor who can help guide me in starting. HelpThanks ahead of time.
A mentor is the key to success in a distributorship business. Self development is also key. Some of my favorite leadership authors who I feel have mentored me through their writings include John Maxwell and Dr. Tom Barrett. Excellent reads. Arbonne International is commonly referred to as a personal development company disguised as a health and wellness company. I have mentors available to me in my direct upline and at the corporate office. There are lots of websites and interactive conference calls that my company offers to assist me as well.
We are currently operating in the Canada and Australia. We have opened up the United Kingdom market this month. Its an exciting time to be with such a phenomenal company. Whether you are looking for a parttime or fulltime home business Arbonne is an excellent vehicle to help you achieve financial peace. Please message or email me if you are interested in a free information packet on the Arbonne business opportunity.
Im doing a research paper for school and my topic is about the expensiveness of college and I want to know how current students and recent graduates are paying for it.
Good topic Here is all the information that I have hopefully it will help you. I was lucky that my school was cheap compare to other school in the country. I depended on parents and financial aid grants loans and scholarshipsFINANCIAL HELPI got financial aid that includes gov. Grants scholarships and school loans. The problem with financial aid is you have to claim that you are a low income. If you live with parents and they make a little more money than lowincome people then you will depend on school loans for school.
Scholarships are great but they are hard to get unless you are an athlete. Its almost like a poor person that is begging for money. So scholarship counselors dont treat applicants the best way. I graduated 2years ago and I still owe 18000 for my school. I know that is doesnt sound like a lot compare to others. I am paying back now. Not to mention every time I get in an argument with mom I still hear I paid for your school bla bla bla even though I graduate it. GOING TO SCHOOLAnyway. Although my school was not expensive like other school but there was at least a 20 increase in tuition and fees every semester.
Required to pay for the student health fees around 50 a semester and it doesnt matter if you dont use it you have to pay for it anyway. BOOKSBook are expensive you can buy a book for 60 and sells it in the end of the semester for 20 which I think it is ridicules. Some instructors DONT use the books in class but they cant say that so they dont loose their jobs. And publishers make their money from books that student dont read. It was tough being a student get financial aid and maintain a decent paying job during school.
Fot instance servers and bartenders make more money then school teachers in the state that I live in. So it is tough. I really like your topic you have a lot to talk right about I hope this information helps you with your research. Please contact if you have any questions. Good Luck.
