I tried a bit of each of the toddler meal bowls myself, just to have a general idea of what she was eating, and honestly, I would eat one myself, even though it's for toddlers :). It was really good! Each meal bowl is super simple to prepare, you simply take the plastic tub out of the box, punch a few slits in the plastic topper, place it in the microwave for 30 seconds, and there you have a healthy organic meal for your toddler, that you know is 100% pesticide, chemical fertilizer, and genetically modified organism free?. WSJ: Sharp courting US firms for investments, will trade displays for dollars
Loans, cuts and mortgages -- Sharp is doing everything it can to meet its "profitable by 2014" pledge, and according to the Wall Street Journal, it's looking to US suitors to lend a hand. Sources close to the company say that it's offering a stake in Sharp to companies like Dell, Intel and Qualcomm in exchange for a capital investment. So far, all four companies have declined to comment, but investors would reportedly score easy access to Sharp displays, a deal that could be a boon for Dell's hardware division. The display outfit had originally hoped to bolster its bottom line by selling a capital stake to Hon Hai, but the deal fizzled in August. No official numbers have been announced, but the WSJ is being told that Sharp is hoping to take in ¥20 billion (about $240 million) from both Dell and Intel, and is negotiating a more meager investment with Qualcomm. With any luck, the international agreements will keep Sharp afloat long enough for its IGZO-based LCD panels to put some black ink in the firm's ledgers.

Simon Calder's Holiday Helpdesk: Will my Samsung Galaxy II work as a phone while in Japan?
Q Will my Samsung Galaxy II work as a phone while in Japan?
David Boggis
A Yes - but be circumspect about how you use it.
Let's start with the phone aspect. The EU is applying downward pressure on roaming charges within Europe: by 2014 it will cost only 15p a minute to make a call, 4p a minute to receive a call, and 5p per text.
In contrast, charges outside the EU are astronomical: my provider, Orange, charges ?1.50, 90p and 50p for the corresponding services from Japan. You can buy a ?travel bundle? that slightly reduces the cost. My strategy is to leave the phone on, in order to receive urgent calls, but never to make calls - and never, ever, to use roaming data services.

Steinbrueck says SPD-Greens ahead of Merkel bloc before vote
BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's center-left opposition is closer to winning a majority in next September's election than Chancellor Angela Merkel's center-right alliance, Social Democrat (SPD) chancellor candidate Peer Steinbrueck said on Friday.
In a fiery speech to SPD leaders, Steinbrueck acknowledged having initial problems in his campaign to oust Merkel's government but pointed out that the SPD and their allies, the Greens, had moved ahead of Merkel's coalition in the polls.
Steinbrueck said that with the SPD and Greens at a combined 44 percent in opinion polls, they are closer to winning power in September than Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU/CSU) with 39 percent and their Free Democrat (FDP) allies at just 4 percent.
Both sides would be short of a majority because the opposition Left party was projected by the Infratest dimap poll for ARD TV to win 6 percent - meaning the SPD and Greens would need at least 46 percent to win a parliamentary majority.
The center-right is further away from 46 percent. The FDP would fail to win any seats if it stays below the 5 percent threshold needed to return to parliament.
"I want to run a campaign that will clearly spell out the differences between us and them," said Steinbrueck, a former finance minister whose early campaign has been marred by controversy over his lucrative earnings as a public speaker.
CENTER GROUND
"I want you to help me mobilize our side so that our opponents don't put everyone to sleep like last time in 2009 with a campaign to demobilize us," said Steinbrueck.
He was referring to Merkel's soft-style tactics and her conservatives' shift to the political center.
Support for the SPD itself has recently stayed fairly flat but the Greens received a boost after their new leaders made a pitch for conservative voters by projecting a more moderate, sober image. A poll this week gave them 16 percent, the highest level this year, amid talk of them trying to cut a coalition deal with Merkel, not the SPD, next year.
The SPD plunged to a post-World War Two low of 23 percent in 2009, losing nearly half the support - 40.9 percent - they got when they won power with the Greens in 1998. Merkel pushed her conservatives to the center, siphoning away some SPD voters and prompting others to stay home on election day.
"We need to take clear positions and stand up for them. We can't let them take away our issues again because we're closer to winning a majority than they are - even if the FDP manage to get back above the 5 percent hurdle," said Steinbrueck.
"An SPD-Greens government is much more probable at the moment than a CDU/CSU-FDP government," he said, referring to the center-left's small lead in the polls.
Steinbrueck fell well behind Merkel in personal popularity ratings in the last month, losing support with his abrasive style and the row over his well-paid speaking engagements. He spent much of his first month as candidate defending himself for earning 1.25 million euros as an after-dinner speaker in three years - more than many SPD voters earn in a lifetime.
Steinbrueck was once seen as the center-left's best hope of winning back the chancellery they last held under Gerhard Schroeder from 1998 to 2005.
Steinbrueck served as finance minister in an unwieldy, conservative-SPD "grand coalition" under Merkel from 2005 to 2009. Political analysts say such a coalition is the most likely scenario after next year's election too, but Steinbrueck has ruled out serving again under Merkel.
He showed SPD leaders on Friday he was ready for a spirited campaign and poked fun at the fact that, unlike Schroeder, who has been married four times, he has had only one wife.
"If you want to accomplish anything in the SPD it seems you have to have been divorced four times," Steinbrueck joked. "Maybe that's why I'm having so many problems at the moment - I'm still in my first marriage."

Best-selling Australian author Courtenay dies
CANBERRA, Australia (AP) ? Best-selling Australian author Bryce Courtenay, whose first and final books drew on his tough early-life experiences in Africa, has died of stomach cancer. He was 79.
He started writing in midlife and called his first novels "practice books," but his debut was a success. "The Power of One" was published in 1989, translated into 12 languages and became a hit movie.
His publisher Penguin Group said Friday that Courtenay died at his family home in the Australian capital Canberra late Thursday, surrounded by his family and pets.
His 21st novel, "Jack of Diamonds," was published Nov. 12 and included a moving epilogue to his readers.
"It's been a privilege to write for you and to have you accept me as a storyteller in your lives," he wrote. "Now, as my story draws to an end, may I say only, 'Thank you. You have been simply wonderful.'"
Courtenay was born the illegitimate son of a dressmaker on Aug. 14, 1933, in the mountain town of Barberton in what is now the Limpopo province of South Africa.
By the age of 17, he was working in the dangerous mines of what is now Zimbabwe. The work paid his way to Britain, where he studied at the London School of Journalism. He met an Australian, Benita Solomon, whom he followed to her hometown of Sydney in 1958 and married.
He fell into a career in advertising with U.S. agency McCann Erikson at the age of 26 and rose to creative director. He had an epiphany at the age of 50 when he decided to fulfill a lifelong ambition to be a novelist.
"The Power of One" was to be the first of three "practice books" Courtenay planned to write over three years before taking two years to write a fourth book which he hoped would find a publisher.
"I was absolutely staggered when somebody wanted to publish it in the first place," Courtenay said in his official biography released by Penguin.
"Now its worldwide success and the fact that it's available in 12 languages still amazes me," he said. It became a movie starring Morgan Freeman.
Courtenay dedicated its sequel, "Tandia," to his third son, Damon, who died of medically acquired AIDS at the age of 24 in 1991 ? two months before the book was published.
That tragedy inspired his third book, "April Fool's Day," that deals with the public fear of AIDS and was published in 1993.
In June, doctors told Courtenay that there was no hope of curing his stomach cancer.
Bob Sessions, Courtenay's longstanding publisher at Penguin, said the author would produce a 600-page book in six months, sometimes writing for more than 12 hours a day.
"He was a born storyteller and I would tell him he was a latter-day Charles Dickens with his strong and complex plots, larger-than-life characters and his ability to appeal to a large number of readers," Sessions said.
Courtenay divorced his first wife, Benita, in 2000. She died in 2007 aged 72.
He married his partner of seven years, Christine Gee, last year. He is also survived by his sons Brett and Adam.

UPDATE: Foster Family Loses Everything in House Fire
Click image to view slide show.
5pm Tuesday: Fire Hits Foster Family Hard
11pm: Foster Home Fire
UPDATE 11/20/12 @ 4:45 p.m.
OLIVE HILL, Ky. (WSAZ) -- This holiday season, the Callahans of Olive Hill may have no home, but they're counting their blessings.
On Monday afternoon, Juanita and Rodney Callahan's home went up in flames. Mrs. Callahan is just grateful everyone made it out OK.
"We're surrounded by loved ones, so we're blessed," she said.
She has a message for people gathering around the table with their own loved ones this holiday.
"Just be thankful for everything you have. Be thankful you can breathe, thankful for your health, your family," Juanita Callahan said. "I think the family is the most important thing. Not just thankful, but grateful for all the things our Heavenly Father let us have."
The program director for NECCO, the foster care agency that the Callahans work with, contacted WSAZ with information about donations.
Donations can be sent to NECCO, 59 Fivco Court, Grayson, KY 41143, on the Callahans' behalf.
UPDATE 11/20/12 @ 12:45 p.m.
OLIVE HILL, KY (WSAZ) -- At the Callahan Homestead in Olive Hill, Ky., you'll find all the trimmings for a Thankgiving feast, but there's no place to prepare the meal.
"I've been asking around if anyone needs a turkey," said Juanita Callahan. "It's a shame we'll have no use for it."
Rodney and Juanita Callahan lost their home to fire Monday afternoon. It's the home 60-year-old Juanita's father built; it's a home where Juanita and Rodney raised their family; it's a home where the Callahan's where helping to raise the children of other families, as well.
The Callahan's are foster parents, and for the past 20 years have been building onto the once small farm house so others could have a chance in life.
"I opened up my home and my heart two three small girls whom I love as my own." said Juanita. "This Thanksgiving I'll bow my head and give thanks for what I still have. I don't know where we'll all be when I do that, but I'll give thanks."
Rodney, Juanita, her adult children and the two youngest of the three foster children ages four, five and nine were home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters say the fire was difficult to fight because of the additions built on creating walls behind walls and floors beneath floors. The fire was trapped inside the walls and would just all of sudden break through another wall.
No one was injured in the blaze.

ORIGINAL STORY
OLIVE HILL, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A family who opens their home to help children in need, now needs a little help of their own.
Not only did a fire destroy the house Juanita Callahan grew up in -- it took out the foster home she and her husband have been working on for three decades.
The fact that no one was hurt is always the silver lining in a situation like this. But the pain of loss is still so inescapable.
"My son comes running out and says we better get out fast," said Juanita.
The smoke could be seen for miles over the hill tops of Olive Hill, Ky. As firefighters arrived from Grayson, Olive Hill and Carter City -- Juanita could only watch and cry as the home she grew up in as a child collapsed. The fire was on Barkers Fork in Olive Hill, Ky.
"Everything was paid off and we were really looking forward to enjoying the home," said Juanita
But it was more than a home to her family and children; it was home to more than 50 children who called the old farmstead home. Rodney and Juanita Callahan are foster parents, and for the past 20 years have been building onto the once small farm house so others could have a chance in life.
?It's not just a home for you. You've opened up your home to kids in need,? explained WSAZ.com.
"Yes,? answered Juanita. ?We've been in foster care for years."
Christmas gifts were lost, along with a food pantry stocked with $10,000 worth of food. The family did manage to escape with some clothes and pictures. Now, they just need a new place for everyone to call home.
The Callahans hope to find family or friends to stay the night with until other arraignments are made.

A thrilling race on the cards in Williamhill.com Standard
A nail biting contest is on the cards in the Williamhill.com Standard at Newcastle in England on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Most of the greyhounds, lined up for action in the race, have been struggling for consistency and they will be looking to make an improvement in the Grade OR contest.
Due to this, the spectators will get a chance of witnessing a thrilling battle in the 480 metres race, which is scheduled to start at 21:15 GMT. The winner will walk away with a cash prize of ?150 at the end of the day.
Looking at the overall distance to cover in the race, it is clear that speed alone will not be enough to finish at the top of the table. All of the greyhounds will need to apply a calculated approach in order to finish strongly.
The starting positions will be important to some extent, as it will be nice to gain an early momentum in the beginning. The one who manages to do that will have a great chance of fighting for a victory at the end of the day.
According to the bookmakers, the best chance of victory is with Nyla Fantasy, as she has got plenty of experience and knows how to handle pressure. She has appeared in a lot of Grade OR contests and her performances in them have been decent. She will look to steal the show in the end, by storming to the top of the table at Newcastle.
Furthermore, the seasoned bitch will be entering the race from trap number one, which will allow her to push hard at the start. If she gets a clear run, no one will be able to stop her from fighting for a victory.
However, the M. Walsh?s trainee was unable to make an impression in her most recent outing in this class. She was given pretty decent odds for victory, but could not cause problems for her opponents at the end of the day.
Premier Fantasy?s daughter out of Larkhill Megan did get a clean run back then, but she simply lacked the speed to come anywhere closer to the triumphant greyhound. She will need to make an improvement this time otherwise her rivals will take advantage of her bad form.

Japan, India to cooperate on rare earth production
By Agence France-Presse
Saturday, November 17, 2012 10:59 EST
?
Japan has signed a memorandum of understanding with India to promote joint production of rare earth minerals, a move which will help reduce its reliance on China which controls most of the world?s supply.
Under the memorandum signed Friday, the Japanese and Indian governments will support a joint project between Japanese trading house Toyota Tsusho Corp. and an Indian state-run company, Tokyo?s energy agency said.
From next spring Japan is expected to begin annual imports of 4,100 tons of rare earths from India, which will be more than 10 percent of demand in Asia?s second-largest economy, Jiji Press news agency said.
Rare earths are used to make a wide range of high tech products, including powerful magnets, batteries, LED lights, electric cars, iPods, lasers, wind turbines and missiles.
China produces most of the world?s supply of rare earths, but has clamped down on exports of them in a move Beijing says is aimed at protecting its environment and conserving supplies.
But Japan, jointly with the European Union and the United States, has claimed China is unfairly benefiting its own industries by restricting exports, while trying to diversify sources of the materials.

Obama vows not to forget storm victims rebuilding
NEW YORK (AP) ? President Barack Obama vowed Thursday to stick with New Yorkers still struggling 17 days after Superstorm Sandy "until the rebuilding is complete" after getting an up-close look at devastated neighborhoods rendered unlivable.
Obama brought the spotlight to people still without heat or electricity and hugged many of those trying to rebuild their lives. He also delivered a postelection message of unity, nine days after a closely divided America gave him a second term.
"During difficult times like this, we're reminded that we're bound together and we have to look out for each other," Obama said from a Staten Island street that was demolished by the storm. "And a lot of the things that seem important, the petty differences, melt away."
Obama announced that Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan, a former chief of a New York housing agency, will be his point person to oversee long-term redevelopment in the region.
On a three-hour tour, the president encountered many still suffering in Sandy's aftermath and waiting in lines for food, supplies and other help.
He also met privately with parents whose two young boys, Brandon and Connor Moore, were swept away by the powerful storm. Damien and Glenda Moore's children were among more than 100 people who deaths were blamed on Sandy.
"I expressed to them, as a father, as a parent, my heartbreak over what they went through," Obama said. He said the Moores were "still obviously a little shell-shocked" but wanted to thank the New York City police lieutenant who stayed with them until the bodies were found.
"That spirit and sense of togetherness and looking out for one another, that's what's going to carry us through this tragedy," Obama said.
Before arriving on Staten Island, his helicopter flew over Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, including the waterfront community of Breezy Point, where roughly 100 homes burned to the ground in a massive wind-swept fire.
On Staten Island, Obama met with residents waiting in line at an emergency response center at New Dorp High School, where the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Small Business Administration, IRS, Red Cross and city agencies have set up tents to help survivors. The White House said about 1,500 people had received services at the center, one of several in affected areas, as of Monday.
People sought refuge from the cold on "warming buses" and the New York Fire Department provided hot showers. Insurance companies including Travelers and Allstate also had buses where people went to file claims.
The president hugged one woman at the business tent, asking where she was staying and if her loved ones were safe. He also visited a tent where food and toiletries were being distributed and thanked the workers and volunteers who came in from around the country. Several hundred people gathered nearby to see the president and shouted: "We love you!"
One girl collecting supplies who said her house is unlivable said: "We need help. He should have been here a long time ago." That sentiment was shared by others, including Anthony Gatti, who said his home near the ocean was wrecked by Sandy.
"I think he should've been here a few days ago to see how much devastation we've had here," said Gatti, who was hoping to get a FEMA trailer to live in with his parents while they find a new home. They lost everything they owned in the storm, he said.
Gatti said he has been standing in line all day, every day, waiting to speak with FEMA officials.
"If he could do something to make this process with the government a little faster and easier on us, that would be a great thing," he said of Obama.
Obama was joined on the tour by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, both New York Democrats, flew up with the president.
Cuomo said this week that he would request $30 billion in federal aid to rebuild.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said he couldn't comment on the request because the administration hadn't seen the details. He said the government will continue to do everything possible to cut red tape and help affected communities.
Blocks away from the president's tour, Lily Wu, a 37-year-old mother of three, was cleaning dishes salvaged from the flooded, first floor of the home she bought three years ago. Wu, who is living in a friend's basement with her family, said she hopes Obama might give storm victims a tax break to help them out. She said she doesn't know if she'll get any money from FEMA or her insurance company.
"If they could bail out the banks, they should bail us out, right?" Wu said. "I mean, all of us paid more than half a million dollars for these homes. They're going to be worthless after this."
Obama traveled to New Jersey on Oct. 31 to meet with Gov. Chris Christie and view recovery efforts in battered coastal communities. He saw flattened houses, flooded neighborhoods, sand-strewn streets and a fire burning along the coastline.
The White House said the president didn't visit New York at the time so as not to interfere with recovery efforts.
Vice President Joe Biden's office said he will travel to New Jersey on Sunday to view storm damage.

Increasing Your Odds Of Finding Cheap Auto Insurance With These ...
TIP! The best way to save on insurance premiums is to maintain a safe driving record. By avoiding getting tickets or being in accidents, you may qualify for a discount as a good driver.
If you have a car, then you need auto insurance. Trying to understand all the information from the many different insurance companies can be overwhelming. The tips in this article will help you find the insurance you need to protect yourself.
TIP! Make sure you have a comprehensive list of the changes you?ve made and accessories you?ve put into your car. You?ll need this as proof if your car is stolen or damaged.
A great tip for auto insurance is to get 100/200/100 level coverage for liability if you have a good car with a few assets to protect. Most states require a minimum level of liability coverage, so it is important that your policy meets these stipulated levels.
Believe it or not, the amount you drive can affect your insurance premium. Most insurance companies will lower your premium if you drive less.
TIP! The kind of vehicle you decide on will be a huge factor in the cost of insurance. Know that your bill will reflect the choice you make when selecting a vehicle.
An insurance company has time to decide if you are a liability to them as well. The insurance company uses that time window to confirm that you are an acceptable risk. If your insurance policy is terminated, it can adversely affect you for many years. It can result in higher premiums or the inability to obtain insurance in the future.
TIP! Some companies offer discounts for those who do not log mileage in excess of 7500 miles per year. If you are looking to cut back on your car insurance costs, this is a great place to begin.
It?s a common belief that sports cars have exponentially higher insurance premiums than economy cars, but that belief need not deter you from purchasing one. In fact, there are certain sports cars that do not have high premiums. It may pay to give your agent a call to find out how much the premiums would be for the car you have in mind.
TIP! To ensure that your auto insurance policy is providing ample coverage, check with your agent prior to investing in items that customize your car. The retail value of aftermarket rims might be $1000, but if they don?t actually add $1000 to your car?s overall value, then it could have negative insurance consequences.
Ask your auto insurance agent for a comprehensive list of the money-saving opportunities their company provides. You should thoroughly comb this list for any discounts that are applicable to you. If you want to spend as little as possible on auto insurance, you want to make sure you are getting all the discounts you can.
TIP! Do not choose cheap car insurance on price alone. It could be a good deal, but it could also be a substandard policy.
Be sure to get quotes from multiple car insurance providers. Many times, different companies will offer very different rates. You should look around for a new quote about once per year. You should be sure that you are getting the right coverage when researching insurance companies.
TIP! Many employers offer group insurance discounts to employees, which can save you money. Sometimes, employers and insurance companies will enter into an agreement to offer reduced group rates.
When considering the purchase of aftermarket additions for your car, be sure to check how much your insurance company will cover if your car is stolen or damaged. In a lot of cases, insurance companies do not cover these upgrades. They only consider the added value to the entire car.
Check the consumer complaint number of insurance providers listed for your state. What this number indicates to you is the percentage of provider claims that result in a complaint.
TIP! There are a myriad of factors determining your rate for auto insurance. Some of these factors are demographic in nature, such as your age, gender and marital status.
Never drive without insurance. Protect your finances when you protect yourself with auto insurance. These tips are designed to guide you to the right insurance plan for your automobile

First stone-tipped spear thrown earlier than thought
The hunt for food led hominins to cast the first stone half a million years ago ? 200,000 years earlier than we thought. Archaeologists have found the oldest evidence yet of stone-tipped spears.
The new discovery in South Africa suggests that it was neither our species nor Neanderthals that pioneered the use of such spears, but our shared ancestor Homo heidelbergensis.
We already knew that Homo heidelbergensis could fashion wooden spears ? a 500,000-year-old horse shoulder blade from Boxgrove, UK, has a semicircular hole in it that suggests it was pierced by a spear. "But the hole's bevelled edges and circular shape are not suggestive of a stone-tipped weapon," says Jayne Wilkins at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
Stone points used on spears had been found only at sites that date back no more than 300,000 years, and that are associated with Neanderthals or archaic members of our species.
That gives huge significance to a new discovery by Wilkins and her colleagues in 500,000-year-old deposits at Kathu Pan in South Africa. The team unearthed a hoard of stone points, each between 4 and 9 centimetres long, that they think belonged to the earliest stone-tipped spears yet found. The stone points are the right shape and size for the job, and some have fractured tips that suggest they were used as weapons.
Crucially, the points show signs of having been resharpened to maintain their symmetry. That is characteristic of spear tips and not of handheld cutting tools; the latter typically become less symmetrical with use because only the side of the tool used for cutting is kept sharp.
The find does more than simply extend the prehistory of stone-tipped spears ? it puts those first spears firmly in the hands of Homo heidelbergensis, says Wilkins. Modern foragers use such tools to take down large game as part of cooperative, strategic hunts. Perhaps our ancestor did so too.
"The spears are evidence for the deep accumulation of hunting behaviours in our lineage," says Wilkins. Use of the spears may have developed as the brain of Homo heidelbergensis increased in size, she says.
Paola Villa at the University of Colorado Museum in Boulder agrees with the findings. She points out that at a 350,000-year-old site near Sch?ningen, Germany, wooden spears have been found associated with the remains of 19 horses, suggesting Homo heidelbergensis mounted a carefully planned ambush there. "That early humans had sophisticated cognitive abilities comes as no surprise," she says.
Last week, some of Wilkins's colleagues discovered 71,000-year-old stone tips that may have belonged to the world's earliest arrows. What should we make of the fact that this find, too, was made in South Africa?
It might just reflect the amount of work going on there, given that vast areas of Africa have yet to be explored for prehistoric remains. "Alternatively, it may be that the unique environmental conditions of southern Africa are in part responsible for technological innovation," says Wilkins. Though it is unclear what these conditions may have been.

Clean, renewable energy? Definitely. But we're also going to have to address the impact of factory farming on the environment, if we want a cleaner, healthier planet. More than 80% of U.S. agriculture is devoted to livestock, and hundreds of millions of acres are growing livestock feed. The result? Factory farming is now one of the largest sources of CO2 and the single largest source of both methane and nitrous oxide emissions. http://

Petraeus to testify at Benghazi hearing
By NBC News staff
Former CIA Director David Petraeus will testify Thursday about the attack on the?U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi?before the Senate Intelligence Committee, a veteran senator confirmed to NBC News Wednesday.?
The Thursday hearing will be the first formal congressional inquiry into the September attack that killed?U.S. Ambassador in Libya Chris Stevens, information management officer Sean Smith and security personnel Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.
Petraeus, a decorated four-star general who received widespread praise for the surge strategy in Iraq, resigned as CIA director on Friday, citing an extramarital affair.
?As FBI investigated Petraeus, he and Allen intervened in nasty custody battle
Numerous federal government officials have told NBC News that the married general had a relationship with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, 40, who authored ?All In,? a book about Petraeus? education.
Republican lawmakers have criticized the administration?s evolving explanation of what triggered the Benghazi attack. Officials early on said it was a spontaneous reaction during a protest about an anti-Islamic film. Later, it was termed a planned terrorist attack.
Questions have also been raised about whether the consulate had adequate security and whether the State Department responded appropriately to requests for more protection.
Military analyst Col. Jack Jacobs (Ret.) said the sex scandal will affect the way Petraeus is questioned by Congress, because members were kept in the dark about the FBI inquiry that led to his resignation.?
Defense official fires back, denies Afghanistan commander exchanged 'inappropriate' emails
?It will be interesting to see what tenor it takes and what the senators and congressmen, assuming he gets before both houses, have to say before talking to him. As you know, these hearings have a tendency to be less a question and answer period than it is an opportunity for the members to vent their spleen or talk about what they want to, so that part will be very, very interesting,? Jacobs said.???
?In terms of extracting real information about what actually took place and what role the CIA had in what took place in Benghazi, I believe that investigation will determine that they had no role, that by the time the CIA could do anything, it was all over.??
NBC's Chuck Todd discusses the political fallout from Petraeus-Allen scandal, noting that the White House national security team is probably more worried about wobbly leadership at the CIA and in Afghanistan than political damage.

Marketing On The Internet Has Never Been Simpler: Follow These ...
TIP! Try to make your ads look unique, instead of traditional and common banner ads. Try to create an interesting and unique banner ad to entice potential visitors.
Do you have a great business idea? By using the power of the Internet, you can turn your brainstorms into realities, and use marketing techniques that will cause your business to thrive. If you find you need help, be certain to heed the tips in this article.
TIP! Your company needs to have a simple, memorable web address. Possibly use your business name as the website URL.
Create a unique quality website and you will get more visitors. For example, you could create an informative e-book or downloadable worksheets to be used during the course of customers? business. You can create an excellent hook for your market site by offering propriety merchandise that is not available on any other website.
TIP! Remember that not everyone online has the same type of payment option available to them, so it?s up to you to accept multiple types of payment. Avoid the tendency to allow only credit cards as this may limit your customer base.
When customers refer others to your site, reward them. One sale can be easily multiplied by simply offering customers a freebie or a discount when they refer others to your website. People love free gifts, and this can increase sales!
Figure out your target audience, and what sorts of content they respond positively to. This gives you a good starting point when planning your content.
TIP! A title often commands respect. For example, make yourself the CEO if you are running your own company.
Give site visitors the option of signing up for your newsletter or e-zine. This can be a smart technique to help you maintain an interactive relationship with your website visitors and prospective customers. Help your readers get to know you by sprinkling photographs of yourself enjoying time with your family or employees throughout your Ezine. Allow readers glimpses into the heart of your company by providing snippets of information about you and your employees. Capture their interest with creative subject lines and titles that make them want to delve further in and read the entire Ezine.
You might also consider bundling the merchandise with a similar product and selling it at a bargain price. Start your terms clearly in your marketing collateral.
TIP! Use a banner that has your brand or slogan on it. Doing so gives your website a professional look, and visitors can quickly understand the website?s function and your goals.
Consider your first venture into the world of Internet marketing to be a potentially lucrative hobby, but don?t count on it as a replacement for your job until you get your bearings and know how things are going. If your website ends up being wildly successful, then you can turn it into a career. In the meantime, just enjoy the process and don?t worry too much about getting rich.
TIP! Learning about basic elements of good web page design will be time well spent. There are plenty of guides online that will teach you almost everything you need to know about HTML and CSS to get your web design training off on the right foot.
?Limited? is a strong keyword to include. People shop online because they are tired of what their local stores have to offer. Online consumers seek unique products different from what they are used to seeing. By offering a product that is limited in quantity, it will cause customers to snap them up quickly, so that they don?t lose out on something that is different or unusual.
A great Website marketing tip is to become an expert in the field you are dealing with. This helps establish credibility if you have true, relevant content.
TIP! Just like any other business venture, start out small when you are putting together your website. Search engines will tend to overlook a site with one or two million indexed pages, more so than one that has between ten or twenty thousand.
If a customer has a complaint handle it yourself. You may want to get some outside help, but you will do better to handle customer service yourself. If an unsatisfied customer emails you about a purchase gone wrong, personally reply to the email, and try to help them out.
TIP! You could bring more traffic to your site by offering a free service. People will stop by just for the free stuff, but sometimes they do stay longer if something on the site appeals to them.
As previously mentioned, the main goal of a business should be to achieve and maintain longevity, typically through long-term growth. Your goal is to build a solid basis for your business so it will last and grow over the years. Good Website marketing can be vital to building the sort of loyal customer base that can keep you afloat for years

The exhibit featured original watercolor drawings made by John White in the 1580s. Furthermore, in 2010 the SECU Foundation provided funding to build the SECU Education Center, a state-of-the-art learning facility for the museum?s educational programs.
?The State Employees? Credit Union?s contribution also enabled the museum to build a distance-learning studio, which brings history to classrooms across the state and to students who cannot visit Raleigh,? added Howard. Through live, two-way videoconference programs, students interact in real time with a museum educator.
The 2012 Philanthropy Awards were presented during Mount Rushmore Live: An Evening With the Presidents. During the event, four nationally renowned historical interpreters brought to life the leaders depicted on Mount Rushmore: Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.
Sponsors of the Philanthropy Awards and An Evening With the Presidents included Bailey?s Fine Jewelry, Capel Rugs, Catering Works, CE Rental, Chris and Bill Hamlin, N.C. Executive Mansion, N.C. Museum of History Associates, Kelly Odom Flowers and Interiors, N.C. State University Pipes and Drums, Raleigh Marriott City Center, Jean and Everette Sherrill, and Wayside Furniture.
